Tom Burgess is a relatively new member, joining Perch Coworking in September 2019. Originally, Tom used the space just one day a week, working in London the rest of the week. However, more recently Tom has favoured the Bicester trip over the London commute and has been with us more frequently.

So, how did you discover Perch Coworking?

I was interested when I saw the building being fitted out and then got to see an event and the facilities on Facebook. It seemed an awesome space with a fabulous team, so I had to find out more and popped in one afternoon.

That’s one of things that is so good about Perch, all the team are very welcoming, and I was accommodated with ease that day.

What have been the benefits to TBMC Ltd to using Perch as a coworking space?

The ability to walk from home to the best office space I have worked in has led to less travelling around the country leading to less miles and safety risk in the car/traffic, less stress of getting the extremely busy trains alongside the commuters. It really has changed the balance of work and I am still able to provide the best service to my clients remotely.

The fast internet, facilities and amazing staff create a working space which is refreshing, calm and professional. The vibe is fantastic. I also get to walk to the Gym across the road for a workout during the day and am able to pop to town to carry out any home life jobs and to the bank for business banking too!

Has working among the Perch community bought added benefits?

Meeting and working alongside other local business owners and workers is brilliant. Also, I have made new friends and enjoy the social events Perch put on. It is and has been great and the opportunity to interact with other businesses has broadened my horizons and network of contacts which is beneficial for any small business.

Less commute, more community with Perch Coworking

We’d like to thank Tom for sharing his experience of Perch Coworking and our team. We found it interesting that he has been using the space more frequently of late, choosing to stay in Oxfordshire, rather than commute to London on crowded trains. Our flexible membership packages are easily adapted for your changing needs, whether that’s because your business and team grows, or because you want to address your work/commute balance.
